WHY: I had the opportunity to meet Captain Kerry Wentworth through his work as a Chaplain at Norton Healthcare. Captain Wentworth is serving as Chaplain at the U.S. Army "Craig Hospital" in Afganistan.
The U.S. Army Hospital organizes and cooperates with the South Korean and Egyptian hospitals in the humanitarian mission to better the lives of the Afghanistan people who are living in a country affected by war and desperate poverty.
I want to help Kerry and the US Military build relationships with the Afgan people and bring joy to the children there. For ten years I have learned many things through my involvement in Boy Scouts of America. I have developed this collection project as part of my work to become an Eagle Scout and make a difference in the lives of others.
